This is is what i started with, a 2002 Aprilia RS50. The bike as it is has no cylinder, piston, head or exhaust pipe. The previous owner managed to thread the oil drain bolt so i had that re tapped and put a new bolt and crush washer on. the 2stroke tank has a leak, the front break pads are way past their best and the left fork seal is leaking. there are more problems but i'll come to them later.
DAY 1
The first problem I addressed after the drain bolt was the leaking oil tank, instead of carrying out lengthy repairs I got straight on ebay and bought a pre-owned one for aprox £15. While I was there I also ordered a new set of front and rear break pads (£25) and a set of fork seals (£10) to get me started.
